ROY LICHTENSTEIN

Oh Roy Lichtenshtein Oh, Jeff…I love You, Too…But… I just love Pop Art from the earliest days of my childhood, from looking into magazines with all these interesting cartoony pictures. I have read that it all represents ” a fantasy drama” of a woman who was in trouble with a dominant man who caused them a lot of trouble and of course too much drama. This girl/women looks frustrated and miserable, probably feeling that something is not working in her relationships with her lover. Who knows what is represented? I don’t know, but I can only look and see all the emotions she shows us. Lichtenshtein represented this woman in a very interested sensual look, she is blond and her face is very soft-her lips are very big and she looks so attractive. That was his thing in the 60s, and it seems like something people were in to.
