Birkin Bag: This bag inspired me with the history of how it was created. From Jane Birkin who once was seated next to Jean-Louis Dumas, the Chief Executive Officer of Hermes in 1981. They were flying together from London to Paris. Jane Birkin was known to carry her straw bag which was obviously open, and everything could fall out of it, or be visible to everyone around. That day when they were seated next to one another, she tried to put her straw bag in the overhead compartment of her seat but it didn’t work, all of her things fell onto the ground. This moment is said to have inspired Mr. Dumas to design the timeless, and appropriately named, Birkin Bag.
